Vintage Olympics

What did you like?
I like the sound effects because I think they bring the video together. I also like my idea for the Olympics because I was able to use quite a bit of clips for it.

What didn't you like?
I didn't like that I was unable to use crickets because I couldn't find a soundclip anywhere. I don't like how some of it just pops in here and there.

What would you change?
I would definately find a cricket sound and put it in where the little boy with the glasses has the completely dumbfounded expression on his face at the end. I would put more sounds in and maybe take out the subtitles. I would of liked to modify the one video a bit to kind of make it more Olympic like.

Boat and Raft

What do you like?



I like the background. I like sunsets. I like how the boat and raft sort of blend in with my sunset image.



What don't you like?

I don't like that my objects are so ordinary. I don't like how my boat looks like a block of wood on the water.

What would you do differently if you did it over?

I would try to get a more modern looking boat. I would maybe play with a few more things in the program so make a more normal looking boat. I would maybe pick a whole new object to start with.

Alter Ego - "Silence Can Destroy"

What did you like?

I liked myself. I had a clear image on how I wanted myself to look and I feeled I nailed it dead on. I like the sense of darkness and disorder. I liked the way I feel I captured what I wanted to a certian extent. I also like how the lyrics of one of my favourite songs suits for the title of my alter ego "Silence can Destroy".

What didn't you like?

I don't like that I didn't get the exact image I pictured in my head before I started. I had pictured things a little differently but once I started I lost that image. I didn't like that after I started I limited myself to black and white. It was harder to find images because I limited myself to two main things and I needed to use my images to correspond with my two main images ( me and the dragonfly) I coulldn't have anything just floating around.

What would you change if you could redo it?

I would try harder to get the image I thought of first. I would probably try to make a larger theme out of it. Maybe making everything have a humanoid like feeling. I would have made my dragonfly have a more obvious appearance. Right now it looks like a random bug with it's head ripped off but it symbolizes more then that.

What I like most about this animation is that I didn't have to lengthen the scenes. It all fit together the way it was supposed to right away. Also, I like the way the flies eventually dominate at the end. It shows the arrogant flyswatter up.

What I disliked about this animation is the point that I can't draw. My flyswatter changes sizes throughout and its bad. I also don't like that the flyswatter doesn't look very 3D. I basically dislike my flyswatter because I couldn't draw it right. I don't like how it all takes place in the same general spot.

What I would do if I could redo is maybe learn how to draw. I would likely learn how to trace as well. I would maybe try to find a larger variety of sounds the flyswatter could make. Also, I would be more precise about the backround and maybe have more stagings then in just the one spot.
